In PO Champion, Asterix AVO Beveren and vdk bank Gent play a best of 3 for the title.

In PO Europe (Home & Away, Golden Set if applicable) it will be determined which team, VC Oudegem or ES Charleroi, will be awarded a CEV Cup or Challenge Cup ticket.

Hermes Rekkenshop Oostende finished in fifth place and thus conquers a Challenge Cup ticket. Thanks to that ticket, the new club Bevo Rekkenshop Roeselare will play European next season.

Asterix Avo played a thrilling cup final to its strength. At the Sportpaleis, it saw Ghent come back from a losing position twice. In a thrilling tiebreak, Asterix did the same: from 0-5 to 15-13, good for its 17th cup win.
(25/23, 20/25, 26/24, 23/25, 15/13)

Britt Rampelberg (AST) was named MVP and Eline Van Elsen (VDK) was top scorer with 33 points.

When designing the PO formula, it was assumed that we would have four European slots.
Recently, however, it turned out that we were allocated no less than FIVE European tickets next season.

As a result, the current PO formula has become obsolete and we agreed on a new formula.

Also on behalf of all women's league clubs, we offer our sincere condolences to the family and to Tchalou Volley. We will always remember Yvan as an affable and dutiful employee.

In the CEV Cup, vdk bank Gent lost the first leg in Spain 3-2 after an almost perfect match.
The second leg in Ghent was won 3-1 (20-25/25-20/25-23/25-20). The last set was especially amazing. Gent built up a 17-7 lead, but let Socuellamos return to 17-17. Afterwards, a small lead was again put together (21-17), but again the Spanish team (with four Brazilian and one Peruvian player) was able to connect.
Ghent therefore advances to the play-offs and meets Budowlani Lodz (POL). The first leg will be played in Ghent (Tue 31/1-20:30), the second leg in Poland (Tue 7/2 - 18:00).

In the Challenge Cup, Asterix AVO Beveren won twice 3-1 against Aris Thessaloniki (GRE). In the home game we recorded the following convincing set results: 25-10/25-14/20-25/25-23.
A double confrontation with CSM Lugoj (ROU) now follows in the quarter finals. Home game on Wed 1/2 - 19:30, 2nd leg on Wed 8/2 - 18:30.

The CEV recently published the slots allocation for next season ('23-'24). Belgium will get five European tickets for next season, which is one extra compared to other years. So five Belgian women's teams will have the opportunity to play European volleyball next year!

Soon our women's teams will be active on the European stage.

In the quarterfinals of the Belgian Cup, Hermes Rekkenshop Oostende (3-1 against Interfreight Brabo Antwerp), vdk bank Gent (3-0 against ES Charleroi) and Volley Haasrode-Leuven (1-3 against Beobank Roeselare) were able to easily take the win.

The match between VC Oudegem and Asterix AVO Beveren was completely different. A match on the cutting edge with a 2-3 final result (13-15 in the tiebreak).

The battle for the supercup between VC Oudegem and vdk bank Gent was very exciting.

Gent was able to win the first two sets thanks to heavy service pressure (25-21/25-14).

When that service pressure decreased, Oudegem was able to keep up (23-25 / 21-25).

Oudegem took the lead in the tie-break and Ghent was only able to keep up at 11-13. Ghent needed five match balls to take the win (19-17).

Match report Supercup

On the European platform, vdk bank GENT is leading the way.

Wednesday, October 19 at 8.30 pm they will play the first leg of the first round in the Champions League against Vasas Obuda Budapest in the Edugo Arena.

A week later, the return leg will take place in Hungary on Wednesday, October 26 at 6 p.m.

If there is a win, the second round will immediately follow.

In the event of a loss, a match against Volero Zurich in the CEV cup will follow later.

Normally the Supercup is played before the start of the competition. Due to the successful participation of the Yellow Tigers in the world championships, that was not possible this time.

The Women's Supercup will be contested this season on Sunday, October 30 at 4 pm. in De Meerminnen in Beveren.

National champion vdk bank GENT Dames will compete against cup winner VC OUDEGEM.
